Dr Brent Eastwell BVSc (Hons) MANZCVS

Brent’s passion for horses stems from growing up on a horse stud in Willowvale, just outside Warwick, in South-East Queensland, where horses were always a prominent feature of life. Brent graduated from the Bachelor of Veterinary Science program with Honours from Charles Sturt University, and initially worked in a prominent equine veterinary practice, where he filled such roles as equine veterinary surgeon, racetrack veterinarian, emergency physician, reproduction veterinarian and general equine practitioner. Following this, Brent moved to The Flying Dutchman Equine Reproduction Medicine and Surgery, where he had the opportunity to expand his equine reproduction expertise under the guidance of his mentor Dr Eric Klaui. This position also allowed Brent to travel to the United Kingdom, where he was fortunate to gain experience in equine medicine and surgery under Dr Jonathan Withers and his colleagues at Pool House Equine Hospital. After another year back in Australia, Brent took over the helm of The Flying Dutchman, rebranding the practice as “TFD Equine Veterinary Services”, where he now serves as Director.

Brent is a member of the Australian Veterinary Association and Equine Veterinarians Australia, the British Equine Veterinary Association, and is a member by examination of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists.

For horses in our care, we strive to keep owners well informed as to their progress.  Our Terms of Service

Upon receiving instructions from either a horse owner or their agent, to provide veterinary services or consultation, the owner of the horse is responsible for payment of our charges. Payment must be made on collection of your horse when it has stayed with us, unless prior arrangements are made with our team. If any costs have been incurred by us on your behalf, such as diagnostic tests performed by outside laboratories, you may be invoiced for these at a later date.

Payment of invoices is due within 7 days of the date of the invoice. We reserve the right to charge an administration fee of 20% on balances remaining unpaid for 60 days. Non-payment after 90 days may result in legal action. Failure to comply with our payment terms will result in our insisting that further treatment be paid for immediately upon us providing the service.
